The Cyard’s Kist is the earliest volume of poems in the Blackhall collection (Rainbow Publishing, 1984). Many poems featured in the North East Muse section of the P & J, edited by Cuthbert Graham.
Les Wheeler welcomed its arrival on the literary scene:
