Published in 1989 by Keith Murray Publications, there are sixteen tales in this collection.The original version of ‘The Cross’ appeared in English in Leopard Magazine. Other stories were published in Lallans, Chapman and the Buchan Observer. A Scottish Arts Council subsidy was awarded to assist with publication, which was described by Les Wheeler as ‘one of the most important collections of true Scots short stories to be published in the past decade.’
